| A4A is a friendly site based around wide ranging forums. Membership is free and allows you to contribute to the many lively discussions. You can visit as a guest and read the advice of the many expert allotmenteers who contribute. Look out for TeeGee, Saddad and manicscousers among the many contributers. |
| Simon's allotment is in Derby and he has a great blog being a professional gardener. There are lots of superb photographs going back to 2005, when he had long hair, and include plenty of flowers as well as vegetables. His technique is to show and describe what he has done rather than write a textbook. |

| Originally the Henry Doubleday Research Association, in 1954 named by the founder Lawrence Hills after an 18th Century Quaker who researched Russian Comfrey. The aims include research into organic gardening and protection and breeding of old (heritage) varieties of vegetables the seeds of which they sell. |
| Trewsbury allotments has a great website and is well worth a visit. Every allotment society should have their own site and perhaps there is a place for a generic system that can be modified to suit any particular plot |
